nublabs is a group of engineers working to create a new model for helping communities solve socially significant problems through the development and implementation of empowering technologies. We're setting up an open, community workshop and lab space in East Somerville to use as a springboard for variety of community-facing initiatives. We want to bring our skills to bear on the task of empowering people, setting up a local infrastructure that not only lets us offer our services to the community at large, but helps Somerville build a culture of using its tremendous, latent resources to solve its own problems.
